Hi, I’m Rebecca. I’m so happy to connect with you!
I am a visual artist inspired by plants and nature.
My art studio + creative gardens & forest sanctuary are located on 6-acres of environmentally sensitive lands near Whitby, Ontario in Canada.
My passion is connecting people with nature through creativity.
I hope you enjoy my art!
XOXO,
Rebecca Fortin & Daniel Masch
Flora and fauna encompass all life in nature and are deeply connected from the smallest plants in the forest to the largest animals in the ocean.
This exhibition brings together two bodies of work by visual artists — Rebecca Fortin and Daniel Masch — celebrating nature’s varied plant life and wild creatures. The photographs, paintings and drawings included in this show reflect the artists’ curious explorations with nature, whether that be imagined or observed in real life.
While their artwork is vastly different, they share a focused desire to capture a deep appreciation for the natural world and reinterpret the shapes, patterns, colours and textures with their own unique impressions. Both artists explore with great detail the complexity, vulnerability and beauty of landscapes, forests, gardens and the living beings found within these ecosystems.
By paying close attention to nature’s flora and fauna, we all can feel more connected to each other and the natural world.
